The TX Modular system is a modular software synth written in the SuperCollider 3/Server language for Mac OS X. This free software includes some of the basic modules that you might find in synths and samplers, such as: sample-players, loop players, envelope generators, multi-waveform synths, filters, noise generators, LFOs, MIDI controllers, delays, compressor/expanders, flangers, pitch-shifters, reverbs, vocoders, distorters, ring modulators, file recorders, file players, and step sequencers.
You can decide which modules you want, as well as which samples or loops to use, and build these into a "system" which you can save. Audio and modulation signals can be sent around the system allowing for all kinds of ways to link and control modules. |
